OC Cosplay - Solid Snake by the-Freezer-Fox OC Cosplay - Solid Snake by the-Freezer-Fox
This is something that one of my watchers, :iconthe-great-chanchan: has been hinting at for a while now - that I should create a Metal Gear Solid inspired piece for one of my deviations.

So putting on the theme for Metal Gear Solid 2 for some inspiration, I tried it - with John Frost, one of my o.c.'s.

This was waaay too much fun to make. I hope it does some justice to Solid Snake (I've never played any of the games, but now I want to :D).

I also included a subtitle in the style that I had seen in the Metal Gear Solid cutscenes - with the name of the character in caps, and the voice actor in parenthesis.

As usual, I hope you enjoy. Now excuse me while I go sneak around the park...

The Metal Gear Series and Solid Snake are (c) Konami Corporation. John Frost is (c) Furiza-Kitsune

Holy cow! He's looks so bad ass! :D

Funny facts that was behind my hinting that John and a few of your drawings carry what I identified as "Metal Gear inspired":
John, the name of your oc, is also the real name of Naked Snake (aka. Big Boss- play Metal gear Solid 3)
Your chars wear a lot of black, in fact John is mostly seem in full black or dark, earthy colors. Since Solid Snake does a lot of stealth, he tends to wear these colors a lot.
You like foxes a lot. Foxes are a big part in name to the Metal Gear Solid Series (FOXHOUND, FOX, FOXDIE, Gray Fox)

Uh, wow. I know those are purely coincidences, but, srsly, I at first thought you were a big MG fan. there's just somethign about how you dress your characters that reminds me of it. Play the games. You'll love them~

I'm very glad you enjoyed this. Those were some very interesting observations you made.

The truth is, I tend to like darker colors (especially against the lighter fur of my characters) because that's the kind of color scheme I like. I guess it's easy on my eyes or something.

Oh, and I just played a little of the trial of the first game. I wasn't very good at the time, but it piqued my interest and amused me (I found the guy/girl frantically calling my name in the Game Over title strangely hilarious). Thanks for the suggestion :D

Indeed - from what I've seen so far, its surprisingly fun considering how old it is.
